DIGITAL DOCTOR - dull images on the web

It may be that they are not in the sRGB colour space which is most suited for image viewing on the web.

While it is currently appropriate to remove the colour profile from your thumbnails and previews, the images should be in the relatively narrow sRGB colour space which most fits the colour space of monitors.

As there is currently no colour management on the web, this is the colour space in which your images will be viewed.

If you simply increase the colour saturation of your image files to cope with the 'dullness', you may improve some colours (reds, for example) but others may get worse (blues will tend to purple).

By far the best solution is to get the images in the correct colour space in the first place!
